My goal will not be met, I have decided. But I am consistent. I worked this weekend, Saturday was crazy busy. We saw 167 people (normal is just over 100) and our time was 131 min (goal is 120 and normal is near 200). We were all very excited. We always joke that our weekend is better but we were down 2 nurses and had nine squads in the first 2 hrs we were there! Sunday started off better, a slow pace. We were fully staffed but around 12 all hell broke loose. A dad brought in a 4 year old who looked to be dead. It was horrible, I have never seen anything like it. His eyes were sunken into his head, his arms and legs were mottled. His lips, fingertips, eyelids, even his penis were blue! We couldn't get an iv, couldn't draw blood. The dickhead md was there and kept kicking nursing staff out of the room so he could think! Finally they were able to get ivs and io lines started. The oncall peds md came and saw him and he was sent to Children's hospital. He was seen on Saturday, I don't remember seeing him, for diarrhea and sent home. The same dickhead saw him then too. We haven't heard anything but I am definitely still praying for him. About 20 min after he got there a little 2yo girl came back that was crying inconsolably. She couldn't move her head or arms. Her eyes were rolling into her head, Crazy! She came out of it about 2 hrs later, the peds md saw her too. My theory is that she had a seizure but neither md agreed. She was perfectly fine a few hrs later and went home! But it put us all behind. We had people everywhere in the hall. they even put a psych eval in the break room!!! I went to sleep Sunday night and Brad said I was out in 5 min, snoring and everything!
Friday I hung out with Leighanne. We picked Nicholas up from school and he had taken his stuffed dog, Shasta, for show and tell. The dog fell out of the car and Nicholas jumped out and grabbed him. He ran up to the porch and started CPR chest compressions. He was so cute. Then he hit his head when he leaned down to give breaths. He kept doing compressions like a trooper though!
Nathan is so close to crawling it's wonderful. I know he's going to do it when I'm at work. Bummer! Today he wore a onesie that Nicholas had worn when he was 2 weeks old, Nathan is 7 months old!! Such a little boy.

A wonderful Thursday
I suppose it was unrealistic to think I could blog every day. I suppose I should aim for every other. I worked 16hrs Tuesday and then 8 yesterday and 4 today so I was not able to blog before today.
Nicholas had a counseling appt today. Trish said she is thinking attention deficit but possibly anxiety driven. I have to agree. Coincidentally, we had a parent-teacher conference today, the first since the school swap. Mrs Fyffe said that Nicholas is extremely smart. She said he tries to hurry through work but does not have trouble completing it. She said he is very respectful and pays attention well. He just gets restless.
I will try to post again tomorrow or Saturday, We'll see how that goes.

Haven't been blogging - Bad Katy!
So I haven't been blogging. That was my goal with this so goal was not met. Lets put that on an evaluation form. Anywho....
Nicholas had a basketball game on Saturday. He was a little crappy at first, not paying attention. He still tried to guard the other player when he was on offense but after half time he was wonderful. He stole the ball 2xs and made a total of 3 baskets. He was so excited. I took my camera but I couldn't take any pix because my battery was dead. I work this weekend so I will take some pix the following week.
Saturday night was Disney on Ice. I can't say it was the most exciting thing I have ever been to but it was enjoyable. Nicholas had a good time. We didn't get to go to Bucca's because of the line, maybe next time.
Sunday, Brad and I spent some of our tax refund. We bought a screen door that might actually stay closed and nascar tickets for charlotte. That was about 1/2 the refund :( Does it make anyone else angry that people that don't work are still eligible for a refund. AND people that barely work seem to get more than those of us who work our asses off. It's like I'm paying them to be unmotivated pieces of shit. Yes, lets give you a refund for sitting on your ass all year. What the f??
Today Nicholas, Nathan and I were rolling a ball around on the floor and Nathan would laugh so hard everytime he got the ball like it was magic. And then he would go to roll it to Nicholas and not let go so we would laugh. I went to get my camera to take a picture and dinner (pizza) came so I didn't get to it because the moment was ruined. Maybe Thursday we can reinact! It was definitely a priceless moment - both kids were actually happy!!
